In response to the 2008 RSA Design Directions sustainable packaging brief. The aim was to identify a retail consumer product that is over packaged with the intentions of minimising its environmental impact. Extensive research identified water bottle packaging is becoming an issue. I chose to design a new innovative bottle design that reduces excess packaging through its format and recycling system. The bottle has a unique design feature that helps the recycling system to be sustainable through its recycling process.
